PLMUN – DRRM
REPUBLIC ACT No. 10121
AN ACT STRENGTHENING THE PHILIPPINE DISASTER RISK REDUCTION AND MANAGEMENT SYSTEM, PROVIDING FOR THE NATIONAL DISASTER RISK REDUCTION AND MANAGEMENT FRAMEWORK AND INSTITUTIONALIZING THE NATIONAL DISASTER RISK REDUCTION AND MANAGEMENT PLAN, APPROPRIATING FUNDS THEREFOR AND FOR OTHER PURPOSES.

The Pamantasan ng Lungsod ng Muntinlupa Disaster Risk Reduction and Management or PLMUN-DRRM was established in compliance with the RA 10121 and in consonance with the city’s vision in achieving a climate-changed adaptive and disaster resilient community.

Through the assistance and supervision of the Muntinlupa City Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Office or MCDRRMO, PLMun was able to provide immediate response to disaster and emergencies through our own DRRM department.

Under PLMUN-DRRM, we have the CCTV Command Center, the Emergency Response Team and Safety and Health Office.

CCTV Command Center
A total of 124 CCTV Cameras were installed in PLMun, to continuously monitor and observed the safety and security of our students, employees and guests. Officially launched in April 2019 under the supervision of our PLMUN Safety Officer and DRRM Focal Person, Mr. Lorenzo N. Guzman. Recording of our CCTV happens 24/7 with a retention period of 30 days. CCTV Command Center is located at the 2nd Floor Student Center Building. All of these were funded by the MCDRRMO.

PLMUN Emergency Response Team
The PLMUN Emergency Response Team was created last November 2017. Composed of students who are dedicated and well equipped with necessary trainings and skill such as Basic Life Support, First Aid and Ambulance Management training. With the availability of the ERT and the PLMUN Ambulance, PLMun was able to respond to emergencies in their own initiatives and resources. Trainings, equipment and the PLMUN ambulance were all provided by the MCDRRMO.

Safety and Health Office.
Our Safety Officer Mr. Lorenzo N. Guzman, a Basic Occupational Safety and Health Practitioner (BOSH), under Department of Labor and Employment, was included in the Executive Order No.9 of the City Government of Muntinlupa through our beloved Mayor, Mayor Jaime R. Fresnedi, officially designating Mr. Guzman as the Safety Officer (SO2) of the Pamantasan ng Lungsod ng Muntinlupa. Through this, regular inspection regarding Safety and Health are being conducted and results are being reported to MCDRRMO which is the main agency of the Muntinlupa City Safety and Health Committee.

With all these, rest assured that the Safety, Security and Health of our students, employees and guests are under control and are well-monitored.
